Approval system of construction products

The Construction Products Regulation 305/2011 led to the adoption of joint European fire classification systems. The classification system concerning the fire resistance of building structures is based on testing methods and classification standards complying with EN standards. European standards will be adopted product specifically and their adoption timetable will depend on the completion of uniform European technical specifications and product CE marking, for instance.

Construction products that have a European harmonised product standard or European technical approval (ETA) may obtain a CE marking. Services relating to CE marking are offered by VTT Expert Services. If no harmonised European product standard or European technical approval guidelines are available for a product, a national type approval or product certificate can be applied for it from Eurofins Expert Services. Our approval services cover several construction products.
