We perform environmental testing at our Vakola facility in Vihti, which has more than 30 years of experience. The environmental conditions in our climate testing chambers are adjustable, and the test programme is tailored according to customer needs.
The chambers are equipped with modern data acquisition systems that are capable of measuring the temperature of air, liquids and structures. It is also possible to measure electrical quantities, as well as air and liquid pressures and flows. The results are recorded in the desired format. Customers may also use their own data acquisition systems.
Please contact us, and let us design a test programme that will support your product development needs, product quality, and marketing!
Environmental testing chambers
The temperature in the cold chamber can be lowered to −40 ºC. In addition to cold tests, the chamber can also be used for hot temperature testing. For this purpose, the temperature in the chamber can be adjusted up to +55 ºC. The air humidity in the chamber is also adjustable.
The chamber is 14.2 m (16.0 m) long, 5.5 m wide and 5.1 m high. The doorway measurements are 4.7 x 4.7 meters, which allows for the testing of even large machinery.
Testing performed in the cold chamber includes machinery performance tests in cold and warm environments, cold start tests, heating and cooling device tests, K-value determinations of foodstuff trucks and cooling capacity measurements.
Small machinery and machine parts are tested in a cold room, where the temperature is adjustable between −40 and ± 0 ºC. The chamber is 2.8 m long, 1.9 m wide and 2.4 m high. The doorway measurements are 0.9 m x 2.0 m.
